UPDATE: Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund – Year 5 (2025/26)

During Year 5 of the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults, Arran CVS distributed £479,555 to community organisations across North Ayrshire.

The fund supports community-based activity that helps improve mental health and wellbeing, reduce social isolation and loneliness, and address the inequalities that can contribute to poor mental health.

Funding was awarded to local third sector and community organisations delivering a wide range of activities and support. Projects included opportunities for people to connect with others, take part in social and wellbeing activities, access peer and community support, build confidence and resilience, and become more involved in their local communities.

A particular strength of the fund is its focus on prevention and early intervention. By investing in trusted local organisations, funding can reach people within their own communities and provide accessible support.

As a partner in the Third Sector Interface North Ayrshire with TACT, Arran CVS worked with applicants throughout the funding process, providing information, guidance and support and coordinating the local assessment and distribution of the fund.

The £479,555 distributed during Year 5 represents a significant investment in North Ayrshire's community and voluntary sector and, importantly, in the organisations and groups that work every day to improve the mental health and wellbeing of local people.

We would like to thank all of the organisations involved for the work they continue to deliver within communities across North Ayrshire. See list below of awarded organisations:
