The Proposed National Islands Plan has now been laid before the Scottish Parliament.


Whilst there will be no formal consultation on the proposed Plan, the Islands (Scotland) Act 2018 allows a 40 day period for scrutiny of the proposed National Islands Plan after which time, the Scottish Ministers must complete their preparations of the Plan and publish it as soon as reasonably practicable thereafter.

Please note that this document is not the final, fully designed version of the National Islands Plan which will be published later in the year. Rather it is a more simple version of the design that we will work to finalise over the coming days and  weeks.
